APR organizes Annual Corporate Dinner 2019

Wednesday, March 27, 2019

Asiatic Public Relations Network (Pvt.) Ltd. – APR – hosted its Annual Corporate Dinner on Friday, March 22, 2019, for its clients, ex-clients, media representatives, social media influencers and other opinion-formers. The dinner was a tribute to all our clients for placing their trust in us, to the media for always supporting us strongly, and to our friends and well-wishers for their support. It was also to mark Pakistan Day, which was on the following day.

The event was held in the open-air environment of the lawns of the Beach Luxury Hotel on a pleasant evening. A red carpet welcomed guests and led to a mingling area. Guests met the APR team from all of its stations, including the head office in Karachi and branch offices in Lahore, and Islamabad. Welcome drinks and cold canapés were served. After some time, the guests were ushered into the seating area.

Amin Rammal, one of our Directors, then gave a brief speech welcoming guests to the event. Zohare Ali Shariff, CEO of APR, also spoke at the event. He welcomed guests, and gave a short presentation about APR and it’s work, as one of the leading PR agencies in Pakistan, as well as touching upon the need for every one individually to contribute for the progress of our country.

This was followed by the highlight of the evening, a live performance of mostly jazz music by Band Triple 777. Lenny Massey performed a rendition of the National Anthem on the saxophone, while a video of shots from all across Pakistan prepared by APR was projected on a large SMD screen in sync with the saxophone rendition of the Anthem.

The over one hour music performance covered a number of classic jazz songs, including Louis Armstrong’s ‘What a Wonderful World’, Dave Brubeck’s Take Five, Frank Sinatra’s ‘New York, New York,’ and Camila Cabello’s ‘Havana’, among others.

At the end of the entertainment segment, guests were invited for dinner. And at the end of the evening, they were given souvenirs in environmentally friendly paper bags made out of re-used newspapers by women from lower-income backgrounds, who are provided vocational training by the Ra’ana Liaquat Craftsmen’s Colony (RLCC). The bags contained organic Millefiori Honey and Bees Knees organic Beeswax Wraps. The food wraps are an environmentally friendly alternative to non-biodegradable materials like plastic cling film and aluminium foil. Guests were also invited, as they left, to sign a resolution on a message board set up in the area, calling on them to bring about a change in society, alleviate suffering of others, and work for the betterment of the nation in the ways they can.
