Karachi, Pakistan, December 18, 2015– The Office for Global Engagement at Habib University hosted a lecture by Sarah Stein Greenberg, Executive Director, d.school: Institute of Design at Stanford University at their campus in Karachi. The topic of the lecture was ‘Learning as a Designed Experience: Design Thinking at the Stanford d.school.’
Greenberg talked about the methodology of design thinking and also shared interesting stories of how using design thinking has allowed multidisciplinary teams of Stanford University students to have a real impact around the world. The talk also covered the d.school’s philosophy around designing learning experiences, and how that approach has fostered an educational environment that helps students become confident in their own creative abilities. Greenberg discussed modern teaching methods that, if implemented in Pakistan, can immensely nurture the young talent in the country.
