Survey recognizes EBM as ‘Best Place to Work – 2015

Karachi, September 22, 2015: English Biscuit Manufacturers (Private) Limited has been recognized as Best Place to Work among FMCG companies, Best Place to Work among national companies, as well as one of the top eight companies across all categories according to the Best Place to Work Survey carried out recently by the Pakistan Society of Human Resource Management (PSHRM) and Engage Consulting. The research was conducted by selecting 100 participants randomly out of a pool of 200 employees from each of the 28 participating companies, having 500 or more employees and a minimum defined level of sales turnover.

The Survey measured the level of sense of belonging, employee alignment with company goals, individual growth & individual’s commitment. Among the responses given in the survey by EBM employees, it was stated that the leadership of the organization is easily accessible, supervisors seem to care about employees as persons, and the organization encourages employees to come up with new, creative solutions to work-related problems.

Receiving EBM’s trophy at the award ceremony, EBM’s Managing Director and CEO, Dr. Zeelaf Munir stated, “EBM is honored by this independent survey that validates its core values which define how we believe in, engage with and grow our people. A sincere commitment to our employees is a defining principle of how we conduct our business. We have always believed that inclusion, empowerment and ongoing capacity building of our workforce is critical for our sustainable growth.”

The country’s largest biscuit manufacturer lays great emphasis on a performance driven culture which is inclusive and overarching. Since the very beginning EBM has invested quite heavily in its people to ensure that they remain on the road to growth and achievement.

PSHRM and Engage Consulting are pioneers in studying and recognising the best companies to work for in Pakistan. The study was introduced in 2008 and has been conducted every alternate year since then.
